Ingredients

  • 1 lb penne or rotini pasta
  • 8 slices bacon Chopped
  • 1.5 lb ground beef 80/20 works best
  • 1 medium onion Diced
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese Shredded and divided
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • Add the chopped bacon to a large skillet and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside, reserving some bacon grease in the pan.
  • In the same skillet, cook the ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir and cook until fragrant.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter, then whisk in heavy cream and whole milk. Stir in Parmesan cheese and half the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the beef skillet, pour in the Alfredo sauce, and mix. Stir in crispy bacon pieces.
  • Top with remaining cheddar cheese, cover for a few minutes until melted, then serve warm.

  • This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights when you still want something comforting and homemade.
  • You can swap ground beef for ground turkey if you want a lighter option.
  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy.
